Really big thumbs up for solid 50 fps all maxed out (with your settings) GTX 970 / FX 8350 / 16GB RAM. Not to mention I didn't have to use Vsynch, which introduced nasty jitter my landscape pans. I just played half an hour with your settings and have to say my fps seem to have improved. Should not be bigger than the biggest dependency chain any way (which is around 10) To few - we may risk delaying destruction of resources to much How many cleanup iterations we should do in one purge

Here are links to pastebin for my own configs (note thay are little bit different from those settings, but feel free to use them) \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pcįeel free to ask question about settings, I or someone else on the forum might be able to explain what do they do. You can find additional possible var that could be specified inside config files here: This forces streamer to load higher quality textures. TextureStreamingCharacterDistanceLimit=70

MovieFramerate=60.0 =Īfter change of this file I recommend making it read-only as full screen mode is buggy sometimes and it will switch to borderless, this way you don't have to come back and change settings again -> each time you update you need to make writable again.Ĭ:\Users\Documents\The Witcher 3\ttingsįullScreenMode=2 \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\visuals.ini HairWorksLevel=2 - only if you want nice hairworks to work that is. Remove Following lines from ttings (it hinders performance, without them it uses default settings like in 1.06) ~ Optional 1.07 - for AMD performance ~ Might not work, and break your configs. \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\rendering.iniĪllowMSAA=false Warning this will fork it out further beyond ultra. (2x is lowest, 16x is a middle ground, 32x looks good, and is pretty much same as 64x) =

Look for Tasselation options "Maxiumum Tasselation" and lower it. Gaming > Create custom game profile, or use default (up to you) (this will also decrease quality and amount of hair)

How to improve performance of hairworks overall in AMD GPU's (not that i personally feel like there's need) \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\resources.ini The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\performance.xmlĢ) Edit preset="X" and change X to "3" this will allow for higher quality textures, draw distance etc. **** 1.07 brought plenty of new settings, its going to take me while to look at them all.įirst place owners of Nvidia GPU's have to look at (amd owners of 7970, 8970, 280x, 270x, 285 can edit present) *** Version 1.07 is pretty much the same except ttings, please find below attached ttings

I really hope it's not messing me up, here.First of all, this is not about any downgrade but to improve performance&visuals through out the game. When i'm changing the ttings files on my C drive in My Documents/Witcher 3, does the game automatically point to the file in the Witcher 3 directory? Because I made my backups in another folder that resides in the Witcher 3 folder where the loose ttings and ttings BAK files are. What are my best options for The Witcher 3?ĪLSO. I'm very familiar with Bethesda games and have spent a lot of time tweaking Oblivion and Skyrim's. I'm talking about precision and a next-to-non-existent change in visual quality while boosting FPS. I have no interest in explainations of the different graphics settings. And by optimizing FPS i'm really talking about optimizing. In any case, what's the best way to overall boost performance all across the board. Some people can't tell the difference between 60 and 30 or below but that's an entirely different issue altogether. I've met a number of people who can't tell the difference between 50 and 60 FPS. I'm not talking nonsense, I honestly believe part of the problem here are my eyes. The FPS seems low, but it's actually more than acceptable at 50 FPS. There are just some times, even when Geralt is not moving where FPS goes down by just a bit, maybe 5 or so frames? And in SOME scenes, like fighting the werewolf outside of the Whispering Hillock's cave. My SSC 960 is running the game very well on Ultra, with Foliage Distance on Low.
